The National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic was held in March at the Snowmass Resort in Colorado. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K Shinseki kicked off the event that claims to be the largest of its kind in the world.

Several attendees won great prizes from Winter Feels Good at the 2010 national conference for the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD) - see below.

Earl Saline and Ben Roberts of PSIA-AASI joined with Winter Feels Good staff to educate conference participants about the health and fitness benefits of snow sports and to distribute education materials.

Fitness Lobby Day on Capitol Hill
WFG took part in the SGMA Health Through Fitness Lobby Day on Capitol Hill March 10. The goal was to urge Congress to continue funding for Physical Education Progress Grants and encourage support for the PHIT Bill. Click here to view a larger image.

2010 Winter Trails Attracts 10,700 Participants (2.23.10)

First Lady Michelle Obama took daughters Malia Ann (age 10) and Sasha (7) skiing in February, 2010 at a Pennsylvania resort near Washington, D.C. The First Lady has launched a campaign called "Let's Move" to help combat childhood obesity.
